What we’re looking for

SurveyMonkey is hiring an ambitious Paid Search Specialist to carry out the platform execution and strategy of our SEM campaigns. In this role, you will help drive growth by optimizing paid search campaigns and analyzing data, to glean the actionable insights that fuel business success. As a subject matter expert, you will manage and optimize search campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and other search platforms to meet performance goals. The ideal candidate is a results-driven search expert with a passion for growth and optimization. You thrive on diving into data, experimenting with strategies, and improving performance metrics to drive the success of our Paid Search program.

What you’ll be working on

  • Assist in developing and executing SEM strategies to drive high-quality signups, pipeline, and revenue. Align search campaigns on Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and other platforms with business objectives and performance goals.
  • Provide strategic insights and flag abnormalities within campaigns, provide unique perspectives on potential solutions to business operations, and collaborate with the Paid Search team members.
  • Drive performance through bid strategy optimizations, ad copy optimization, and keyword prospecting through Search Query Report analysis. 
  • Stay at the forefront of industry trends, leveraging platform expertise (Google Ads, Microsoft Ads) to execute on and contribute to developing innovative strategies and tools that achieve measurable results. 
  • Analyze and report campaign performance, delivering actionable insights and stakeholder updates through weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product marketing, brand, creative, demand generation, and analytics teams to ensure alignment in strategy, messaging, and execution.
  • Lead A/B testing initiatives for ad copy, landing pages, and bid strategies to optimize efficiency and impact. Explore automated optimization tools for continuous improvement.
  • Oversee budget pacing, ensuring efficient spend allocation while achieving leads and revenue targets. 

We’d love to hear from people with

  • 1+ years of hands-on experience managing SEM campaigns. SaaS or B2B experience is highly preferred.
  • A proven track record of successfully managing and optimizing account budgets greater than $150,000/year.
  • Understanding of utilizing bid strategies to optimize towards RoAS, CAC, and LTV.
  • A high level of proficiency in using Google Ads, Microsoft Ads. Familiarity with Search Ads 360 is an asset.
  • An analytical mindset, with strong data manipulation skills in Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Some experience in running A/B tests, refining ad copy, and improving landing page relevance to boost conversion rates.
  • A strong ability to communicate, collaborate, and continue learning in a fast-paced environment.
