SurveyMonkey free vs. paid plans

The Basic (free) plan provides unlimited surveys, with 10 questions and limited responses per survey or form. This plan, which always is free, is ideal for personal and casual surveys and forms with basic creation and analysis capabilities. You also can get a feel for the platform’s capabilities before you commit to a paid plan. You can use the Basic plan as long as you want.

You can ask up to 10 questions per survey or form under the Basic plan, using essential question types such as multiple choice, checkboxes, dropdown, and text box. Matrix and rating question types are available on paid plans.

A response is one respondent's submission of a survey or form, whether they completed the survey or form or only partially completed it.

When building your survey or form on the Basic plan, you can preview some paid features before sharing your survey or form. Team plans start at a total of three full-access users, and allow you to invite more full-access users to your SurveyMonkey team for an additional fee. With a team plan, you can add contributor seats in bundles of two as a cost-effective way to add people to focus solely on analyzing survey results.

You pay for a year upfront when you sign up for an annual plan. When you sign up for a monthly plan, you pay for the first billing cycle upfront, then your subscription auto-renews monthly. If you exceed your plan’s response limits in a billing cycle, you pay an additional $0.15 USD charge per response.
