SurveyMonkey announces that Dodgeball Canada, one of tens of thousands of Canadian customers, has tripled its Club Championships with player feedback

The volunteer-led organization now draws representation from all 10 provinces, a result of building continuous player input into its decisions

SAN MATEO, Calif., November 5, 2026 – SurveyMonkey, the world’s most popular platform for surveys and forms, today announced that Dodgeball Canada, one of its more than 21,000 active paying Canadian customers, has used feedback to help grow its flagship Club Championships from 20 to 60 teams, with all 10 Canadian provinces now represented. The volunteer-led organization used SurveyMonkey to bring player input directly into its decision-making.

To support its nationwide growth, Dodgeball Canada moved to a tiered tournament format and gave athletes a direct say in squad selection, replacing fragmented input with targeted surveys to players, coaches, staff, and spectators.

Dodgeball Canada’s approach reflects a broader need for direct customer input. Recent SurveyMonkey research showed 87% of Canadians say companies make incorrect assumptions about what customers want all or some of the time.

“I can say unequivocally we wouldn't see our success without SurveyMonkey," said Marc Cizravi, director of player and sport development for Dodgeball Canada and owner of Dodgeball Toronto. "If we weren't having these intimate conversations, if we weren't gathering the data, we wouldn't be where we are."

Today, post-event surveys are embedded directly into Dodgeball Canada’s standard operational run sheets across all events, establishing continuous feedback as a core operating model.

“Expertise can create its own blind spots,” said Sabrina Leblanc, SVP of sales and customer success at SurveyMonkey and leader of the company’s Ottawa office. “Dodgeball Canada built listening into how it runs every event and tested its assumptions against what players actually wanted. The result was an approach that worked for athletes and fans alike, pushing the national sport organization to new heights.”

Dodgeball Canada is the latest example of how questioning assumptions can lead to meaningful change. As more organizations prioritize continuous listening, SurveyMonkey is helping its Canadian customers turn what they learn into decisions that drive measurable results.
